Cape Town International Jazz Festival

The Cape Town International Jazz Festival is an annual music festival held in Cape Town, South Africa. The first one was held in 2000 to 2005 and is recognized as the fourth largest jazz festival in the world and the largest jazz festival on the African continent.

Digital Innovation

In an era of technology and innovation, the 2020 festival broke the mould and went digital to announce the headline act and accompanying local and international artists performing at the 2020 festival. We digitize the traditional media kit into an online platform and created a google doodle and microsite to launch the artist line-up.
Media Relations

The campaign was developed to ensure that key campaign messages and tactics landed in all editorial results, these included building Brand Awareness and Brand Experience while creating Brand Affinity around the Festival.
Crisis Communication
Due to the outbreak of Coronavirus, CTIJF event organisers decided to cancel the event. We devised a Crisis Communications Plan, with the purpose of empowering the CTIJF team to take a degree of ownership of the news and to ensure that CTIJF retains the support of artists and public, while preventing any reputational damage
